Various rankings show that our Department of Economics is one of the leaders in Europe in terms of research and teaching. Our profile is enhanced by a high level of activity by our departmental members in economic policy consulting. We provide important, high-quality consulting services for economic policy decision makers and contribute to current public discussions on economic policy where these relate to our core competences.
The 16 full professors in our department cover the entire field of economics. Currently, a total of 12 assistant professors supplement the research profile of the Department of Economics. In addition, countless lecturers, visiting professors and (habilitated) lecturers are responsible for the department, and these particularly enrich the courses on offer.
